In this unique class, we will paint your favourite book cover. This could be a childhood favourite or a book design you are fascinated by!
Before you start sketching and painting in class, consider the themes, symbols, and motifs that are portrayed in the narrative. This will help you in illustrating the book’s message visually.
A few ideas for book covers or illustrations to paint are Quentin Blake’s Matilda, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, The Neverending Story or Batman.
Make a sketch: Before you start painting, sketch out your design on paper or canvas. This will assist you in planning the composition.
Choose a colour scheme: Pick a colour scheme that corresponds to the book’s mood and tone. A unified and well-balanced colour scheme can be produced using colour theory.
