Peter Pan

Art classes London are painting experiences that can inspire you to take more risks and experiment with the new. In this beginners art class we will use acrylic paint to create Peter Pan and Wendy’s flight to Neverland. Neverland is the portal to a magical place of flying fairies, mermaids, pirate ships and crocodiles. The Neverlands lives in the minds of children. The dreams of imagination become real here. The children are central to this story, making their own choices without adults telling them what to do. The story ridicules adults in their world, like Hook who is a joke. The children find the right way, by showing how stupid adults are. Peter Pan is a huge contribution to child’s literature.

Understanding that you can paint something special is a powerful experience and it can even bring you back to a calmer state of mind. Science has shown that art helps improve our feelings of happiness by producing more serotonin. Painting can even celebrate feelings of overcoming our problems.

We will explore art using history and philosophy.

The great thing about acrylic painting is that it likes detail, it is simple to use and dries quickly. You will learn about abstract painting techniques, glazing, colour mixing and painting light.

This class will be free, your ticket price only includes the price of 2 drinks (single spirit & mixer, red, white, rose, prosecco, champagne, beers), free exotic loose leaf teas and art materials.

Refunds

Since this is a free event and to cover the cost of securing the venue, we do not issue refunds through the website. Refunds will only be given by cash with proof of receipt, if you arrive on the day of the class.
