‘Oceanography’ – by Cal Chapman
Acrylic on Canvas
11.8” x 9.1”
One from my series of acrylic painting pouring, made with a mixture of Cerulean Blue, Violet, Pink and White. Finished with a stunning gloss varnish, these paintings shine in the light and the colours, both bright and dark, are vibrant as they bounce off the canvas.

About the Artist
Cal Chapman is a young and upcoming abstract artist from coastal Norfolk, now living and working in South London.
Through his work, Cal aims to find the link between colour and emotion, expression and reaction, poetry and form.
His paintings are designed to spark that quiet, intuitive voice that speaks to you when you really feel something or the moment of true peace as you look at something that just makes the world stand still for a moment.
Chaotic, eclectic and composed, Cal’s work is meant to beguile, intrigue and inspire.
Cal is inspired by a wide array of artists both currently working and previous, from the Old Masters, the Abstract Expressionists of 20th century New York, to the street artists, tattoo artists and beat poets that have reshaped the wave of underground art movements.
Cal is one of our resident teachers here at Undergrounder and can be booked for private classes.
